The old Vaiden High School building is now a Mississippi Historic Landmark and the Vaiden Historic Preservation Commission plans to apply to the Mississippi Department of Archives and History for National Register of Historic Places status.

On Tuesday July 10, 2007 at 10 A.M.there will be a meeting at the
Vaiden City Hall. Some of the legislative folks with be there and there hopefully will be time for a building tour.

This Mississippi Historic Landmark has has been approved for a grant from the Mississippi Department of Archives and History for $7500. This grant will have to be matched with $9000.

A grant for $1000 has been received from the Winona Wal-Mart. Sally Hodges was instrumental is helping us to apply for this grant.
